Coconut Oil Confusion

You may have seen the latest report The American Heart Association put out this month about Coconut oil being unhealthy. This topic struck a nerve with me as I have been using Coconut oil for almost a decade and feel it has be a great contributor to my good health, anti aging properties, and lean body.

What struck a nerve was they recommended replacing coconut oil with soy oil, or corn oil.... which are most likely genetically modified.

The report was structured around cardiovascular disease, and because coconut oil is high in saturated fats it is being vilianized in this report. However I feel the focus for preventing cardiovascular disease is reducing inflammation and oxidation which can be managed by limiting refined carbohydrates and sugar.
